But it looks exactly the same in every way, might drop the price of the 360 though so thats always good.

is it me or it almost identical to the CPU-360? Id'like to see a comparison with the CPU-360 in the video...maybe the interior fins and stuff are different...?

doesn't look much different than the 360. Are you going to compare them?

My memory is not the best but when I disassembled my 360, it looks exactly the same inside and out. Plus, were pretty much at the point where newly designed blocks wont make much of a performance difference... better off getting more rad area if you want better temps.

Koolance sent us their upcoming CPU block, the CPU-370, and that means two things: 1) CPU Block Comparison 2011 will kick off now that there's a newcomer, and 2) you get a preview of the block!

Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

From the most preliminary looks of it, it's barely changed from the CPU-360. Same box, same great mounting system, same overall look, altered barb positioning, and just a slight change in text positioning, size, and model number.

Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Open it up and the changed barb positioning shows a slightly different internal geometry–lower restriction is a distinct possibility. The base and midplate appearunchanged from CPU-360 rev1.2 with the same thickness, width (fin and channel), and positioning. However, the channel depth may be slightly deeper, resulting in more surface area as well as less material between CPU block and the flowpath. Placing a straight-edge over the assembled block's base shows a significantly more pronounced bow–this will likely result in improved contact and is likely due to the changed internal geometry. Improved contact and less 'underfin' can make a big difference in performance, so as soon as testing is done, we'll see what these changes will mean for users.

Looks like the CPU Block testbed needs to be fired up–have some interesting changes in store for the 2011 Comparison.

omg, it's bugging my head when people don't quote their sources (unless you created this on your own?!?)

I like how they just took a sticker and glued it over the CPU-360's box:

CPU-370 seems like just a marketing product renaming in order to add the socket 1155 printed on the mounting top plate (115X = 1155 + 1156) and they moved down a bit the input connector in order to look less stupid in their product renaming...
What I mean is that they could have made a new rev number that prints out the 1155 socket...plus, now that the input hole is not in the center anymore, you can't turn the top mounting "star" in the orientation you want anymore...which makes the CPU-360 incompatible with future socket modifications...marketing...

The Koolance CPU-360 box is exactly the same, the only difference is the number 370.
