Once Upon a time...
Now look at this! Less than a day and Overclockers have raised the price of that MB by £10! @ £169.98 now.

What greed! And I was willing to ALREADY pay £15 over the recommended price. It's almost like they read my thread and said "Moyt's going to buy a MB from us, quickly bump up the price!!
This buying game never ends. I won't accept it so I'll be buying from KNS, it's a 3 day wait, but at least I'll be paying around £145 and not £170 sheeesh!
Is this a sign from the PC Gods that I should have gone for Asus?!?!? I'll fight a PC God even to get what I want! :D

And so the price and 'in stock' game continues :(

The end.... for now

Interesting,
Is that MB meant to be any better?

To add I still refuse to pay for OC's over priced MB's :P

if i remeber correctly your thinking of adding a joypad to this rig, if so don;t forget to nab a chap wireles KB so you can use the machine with the joypad if you sit in a chair away from the table or desk the machine lives on. Scan and aria have nice budles for WL KB+Mice for £20+ and they are useful and can be plugged in at the same time as decent gamer grade wired kit.

And I'll be still routing for AsRock :)

Point taken about the keyboard, plenty of cheap wireless keyboards for throwing about the place, I'll get one soon enough. As for the mouse, I think I might end up going a 'bit' OTT on that, though I'm trying hard to hold back on buying it.... the rat! I have to hold back I have to hold back! :frantics:

Okay even though I've been disappointingly delayed there are some good things that have come out of it. When I said I'd contact Scan about sorting out prices and forwarded them my list it looks like they listened and sneakily lowered almost all their prices without telling me hah.
Either that or it’s just a massive coincidence.
So almost all my components will now be bought from Scan apart from the:
8gb memory, (only pre-order at Scan)
g19 keyboard, (cheapest I can find is from ebuyer)
and the monitor (I've 'upgraded' to the ASUS VK278Q model)
....Which I've bought TODAY from eBuyer to arrive tomorrow.

Which now leaves me once again with the Gen 3 motherboard. But ahoy there mee mates I've struck Gold again ooo arrr! :pirate: :
http://www.scan.co.u...d-with-pci-3-30

Indeed after Scan listening to my monstrous hideous cries and pouring of tears, not only have they made the effort to try and get this in quick, but at the best price I can find from anywhere. And so without further adieu I will say to the Overclockers store they can &*&^^%£%$%%&*!!!$%%%$^^$$ (5 hours later) !^&!!!***""^$£%!!!!!!!!!!
Scan tried to get the Gen 3 in today but it's not worked out on time, so hopefully stock will arrive either later tonight, or in good time on Wednesday.

Can't wait! So if anyone else is after this motherboard get your As(s)Rocks down to Scan and keep an eye out on the stock status.

Let's see what happens.... :sorcerer:

Also they have the MSI gen 3 in stock now.

Oh yes could someone please also recommend some good speakers for the new (to be born) PC?
There's that many out there I don't want to read a 1000 reviews; I've done too much of that already :P If you've had a really good experience with a set by all means give me a shout here.

Here's what I'm after. Just a 2.0 setup, I can't be having a subwoofer as this is just for the bedroom so I can't dealing with shaking the place and peeing people off.
I'm after quality sound over loudness without spending a tonne as well. Let's say £80 max.
I know some speakers have mini sub woofers integrated in them which are fine also. If there's a bargain quality setup that has a sub, and insist I should go along with it, by all means let me know.

Though I'm liking the look and sound of Creative GigaWorks. Will be placing my final order at Scan tomorrow afternoon, so any suggestions will be great. If not I'm sure I'll end up with something.

Thanks :)

Edit:
Or might end up picking out from one of these
