Indeed...... a super duper clocked Gameboy!
I CAN have the best of both world’s portable and Desktop without going too OTT. If I was going to settle along the lines of homework and browsing (maybe 10 years ago heh) then I'd rip open that Acer right now.

In this case I've decided to be patient enough to wait for next gen PC hardware to be released, as my Asus monitor and g19 keyboard await it on my desk with open arms right now - which I can use with the laptop also when at home :)
But surely it doesn't hurt to make a grand and a bit out of an Acer and add a tad bit more (or even for less and make savings) for something a hell of a lot better now does it? And still build a kick ***BAD*** PC when the time is right.

Look at this:

This is for me the best possible gaming rig for 1200p which is portable too.
Now this is way more than you'd need of course. With one of the fastest SSDs in the world in there and a Blu-Ray burner.
Also we talked about you going with the 100 € cheaper 2500k CPU.

This rig would be ideal for anybody who goes to LAN-parties all the time.

It will take two years before any Laptop can catch up with this thing in terms of gaming power.
But that's the most portable high-end rig I can think of...

Interesting, however then I might as well go the extra pennies and buy the original PC rig I had in mind which defeats my aim of waiting for the right time in buying next gen components. Because to me this sits in between a laptop and a Tower sized PC
But no matter how I look at it, I still see it as a desktop PC no matter how small it is.

I need nice portability for now with some decent (not lap melting) kick, may it be sitting in the car hooked up to a car charger adaptor, lying on the bed, in the garden, hell even sitting on the bog :P
If I hadn't of received that Acer I would have not gone this route. But the more it sits in my room the more I urge myself to have a nice portable laptop with me on my travels,

Again I will say, there will be no compromise to my PC build for the amount of gaming power I need when the time is right, no matter what laptop I get right now, should it be a low-mid range MSI £600-£700 while making money in the process, or an Alienware maxed out supreme £5000000 laptop that will serve as a good cooker for my burgers.

As soon as I have something decent on my lap I am more than happy to wait and see what the new micro nm world has to offer for my desktop in the very near future.

*Ahem I'm not going to say I'm too embarassed. Off to fix my bla bla bla laptop. Be back soon! :)
