Almost none, infact you can drop the VRAM speed to the bottem of the slider with no impact on the folding rate, and have a dramatic drop in heat. Also on GT200 and back cards you can unlink the shader clock form the core, and drop the core clock. Folding uses the shader almost exclusivly.

Hmmmmph. Thanks

So I've run in to an issue I also had with the GT 430. Once I go past a certain point Overclocking, the card will actually "cap" the load capabilities on it.

For instance, I set to 720MHz just to test it out, and any game benchmark I run, which oddly includes OCCT GPU, tops out at 95% GPU usage no matter what I do... even weirder, if I run 3DMark Vantage, it doesn't have the problem? lol So I guess 702MHz is about as high as I'm gonna go. I did pump the vRAM up to 1215 (2430MHz effective), so that's not too bad.

Well Dred reminded me of something I keep forgetting, 2xx-series you can unlink the Core & Shader... so I'll likely be doing more testing to try and push further as I think his estimation is correct and it's my Shader that's holding me back because of how high it is.

http://3dmark.com/3dmv/3558414 ~ P14202 @ 702 Core, 1215 vRAM, Shader Linked...

since at least I know the load issue is not an issue-issue, performance wise, when it counts, I'm gonna go play a game and I'll fiddle with clocks more later ;)
