motherboards for Intel
cell phones for Nokia
iPod and iPhone for Apple
the contract-manufacturing giant has produced - at the same time - all three of the major gaming consoles: Sony playstation, Microsofts Xbox, and the Nintendo Wii.
Thats just products they do for others and isnt the entire list, nor does it mention any products made under there name. Foxconn is the worlds largest Contract Manufacturing Company.
Heres a link to foxconns products list:
Scroll through and click on a few things. I bet most people here dont have a mobo thats free of foxconn products,

Its more than that, Foxconn own alot of other companies but don't shout they are the owners and own plants thats other lease. So trying to boycott them and buy anything that has a CPU is very very difficult. Some ehtical charities and anti-slave labour charities do have supplier lists that exclude suppliers like Foxconn that have had some black marks vs them but you almost might just give up using computer technology if you wish to really 'boycott'.

1. It's brilliant for looking things up that you need to know whilst working on a PC. Example, needed to do some math on overclocking a CPU today but the GPU wasn't in yet. So instead of having to get a PC up for the info I did so with the Ipad, having it in my hand to guide me.
2. It's cool, quiet and a darn sight more comfy than sitting at a desk if you just want to waffle to your mates or annoy people on Facebook.
3. It has some very good games, fun to play and the touch screen makes it even better.
4. The quality of the build and screen are second to none (coming from an ex Android pad owner).
5. You can cheat at gameshows watching with the family :D haha

I know alot of you guys have shown that probebly the transformer is alot better an option but today i went into comet/currys i never remeber which one it is lol
Anyway it was empty and i got one of the staff ask me if i needed some help after explaining my situation he just said well why not put them together and play with them each and see how you feel being empty it would'nt matter to much to other customers.
So i spent a good hour playing back and forth which each tablet weighing up which one would fit my needs and what i like about each and the iPad seemed to tick all the boxes for me personally, i just felt more comfortable using it im not sure why the screen was nice and responsive very accurate i was randomly tapping at the onscreen keyboard with no problems not to say the asus was bad at it i just liked the iPad better.
Its use in the music world is really appealing to me aswell, proffesionally stuff like TouchOSC to make a custom midi control surface would be brilliant for production and DJing on the go.

I have'nt made a solid decision i'll probebly go back and play again as i might aswell just buy it from them seeming i spent my time there so not a big deal

I said Foxconn uses slave labour but I did not say that I will boycott foxconn lol.
There are other reasons why I hate apple. Dumbed down UI for one, flawed typing system being another.
Note these arent freebies. I want PCMark 7 (will give 3D Mark 11 first so that you can avail a discount).

To be honest the Xoom Tab and Ipad 2 are all as good as each other each has a little hardware best or issue. Example Xoom has a inbuilt mini hdmi for video output (no special lead) But a really annoying power charging port. Ipad 2 has best screen worst loud speaker mono (Xoom has pretty decent stereo speakers as good as quite a few ipod docks, which is insane considering the size!), Andriod and ios do pretty much the same stuff and over the last 8 month have merged almost (they are both based on Unix....-Linux!).
Will your tablet stop you using your laptop or desktop (not for hardcore power user tasks). But you may find it stops you using your phone and you start to cart your tablet round like a phone or even have it replace it.
