either let people stop that darn thing from ever running or get rid of it
it takes some serious cpu power and lags my system down
Im trying to brows and crunch/fold at the same time and this garbage is eating into it?
if you're up to it give the users some Xmas skins instead

Challenger is the one to address this issue with.
I agree its a bit of a resource hog and will grind your PC almost to a halt if running F@H in the background. But on the other hand there are only a few of us folding like that so we are the minority. But I am sure chall will address your concerns if he see's this thread.
PS setting up skins that will work with our structure isnt worth it for just a short term thing.
Also I do believe chall has already disabled the snow

It wasn't that I was scrooge. it was the just lag was a bummer.
if you could fix it (or have people be able to (in personal settings) disable it
or come up with skins instead
I mean Xmas is a regular thing and Xmas walpaper/skin wouldn't be all that hard to come up with
other would be Easter or halloween
or allow people to create them and submit them

Also, there was a button at the top that said "stop snowing"... Couldn't you just click that? Or does it not remember your choice?
LOL I think chall put that button there to mess with peoples heads cause it didnt work.

Tell Chall if he's gonna do that at least make it work...or pop up some disclaimer
the best thing is that if you want to implement that - make it so user can disable added enhancements you add (like the snow-skin animation)
