well i just had the day from hell. had to send my tv back my cable box broke, and my computer caught fire. yep after band aiding it together since September 2010 it finally gave out. i knew it was coming but wasn't sure when. now i have to rebuild somehow. im think to avoid problems with repairs i need to do a LGA 2011 (X79) build. i spent all day trying to figure out the best build for for my budget i think i came up with something but its not complete and would like opinions.

ASUS P9X79 PRO LGA 2011 Intel X79
CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Intel Core i7-3930K Sandy Bridge-E 3.2GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 2011 130W Six-Core Desktop Processor
CORSAIR H100 (CWCH100) Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
CORSAIR Professional Series Gold AX850 (CMPSU-850AX) 850W 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

those are parts im thinking they good all around parts that can do the gaming and media work i do. i do need a new keyboard and mouse too. my keyboard went down with pc. mouse was still good so gave it to my mom. im thinking the corsair k90 and m90nbe good set or maybe a Logitech Bluetooth set.

i want to find best bang for buck i can get since i only have $200 to put into it each month. saving would be very hard in my situation with no way to get a savings account and the idea of cash in a safe seams risky for theft. im debating buying 1 piece at a time due to these factors.

those are some awesome components but i think you would be better of buying the PSU, Cooler, and RAM first and by then ivy bridge mobos (Z77) might be out then i would buy one of those and then last an i7 3770K (ivy bridge CPU). remember this platform only needs dual channel RAM and it would be a few hundred bucks cheaper than the X79 platform overall. i also think it would perform close to the x79 build because of better IPC and probably better OCability because of 22nm technology.

i think thats the best plan if youre planning on buying one component each month.

yeah i was thinking get the non platform parts first. im wondering if a corsair ax850 has all the plugs i need to run high end cards. i seen some that take two 8 pins and a 6 pin. only modular psu i know that could is the corsair ax1200. so they coming out with another platfor for ivy huh. will it still be quad channel???

i'd wait for Z77 because of 100% compatibility and maybe better OCability.

well the sniper is better because it runs at same specs as the vengeance but only with 1.25v so it will definitely be compatible with ivy bridge, it also draws less power  im not too sure if 1.5v RAM will be compatible because its the max voltage for an sandy bridge platform. nehalem platform had a max of 1.65v.

yeah, something like P9Z77 PRO i'd assume. the pro versions are always the one to go for imo.
