I like how they added the fill port. Definitely a great idea for anybody who's ever used these types of reservoirs.
But I'm kinda thinking of moving away from my current setup. After all: the Laing DDC pumps I use now are kinda noisy.

I wonder if the D5 is better. It's bigger and better performing, that's obvious. But is it less noisy too (@ 12V off course)?

Well I've been using this type of a pump-reservoir setup: AquaTuning-Link

And since I've been using dual loops and I don't have that much room, it was the best option at the time. That was a little over one year ago.
But I'm not using the dual-loop thing anymore. I've kinda moved to a long single loop type setup. The loop is now set up like this:

pump 1 => Koolance CPU 360 => Thermochill 360 Radiator => MIPS Asus Ramage III Fusionblock => pump 2 => Koolance VID-NX480 => WaterCool MO-RA3 (4x180) =>

To give you an idea how things look right now:

Now I'm thinking that this type of a long loop may be much better with a single more powerful pump. And I'd like to maintain the option of having a multiple GPU setup.
So keep in mind that it may get to 3 GPU water blocks at some point (again).

What would you suggest?

Those reservoirs you show here in this topic give me a lot of options. I love bay reservoirs... Especially with the front filling system!

But this is a little expensive, since I don't believe I'll be able to sell off the current pump-reservoir system easily...

I would take a look at the D5 bay as your best option as you can use just one to start with.

How so? Is there a single D5 bay option?

The reservoirs you showed here are dual bays. And I can't find a single bay option on the Aquatuning page...
We are talking about this reservoir right: Alphacool Repack - Dual Laing D5 - Dual 5,25 Bay Station

I figure if I mount a single D5 on that it would leak... ^_^

Hi,

Yes thats the one im talking about you can use 1 OR 2 D% pumps with it as you will see in the picture there is a blanking plate to stop the leaks.
