So I was looking at Quad Opteron 6272's for $540 a peice when I cam along these 6174's for $470 each.
http://www.ebay.com/...#ht_3195wt_1398
They are nearly 3x that on newegg so it does seem like a realy, really good buy.
What do you guys think?
I will get about 100K PPD extra for going with the 6174's btw.

price wise i would say i don't like that price or clock speed
but i like the number of cores on it xD..
the gaming you see today is actually nothing versus the future gaming.. even though it's fun to our eyes.. too bad we will be dead though before we even see the future.. (This means if your thinking your having fun with your life think again because your not compared to what's going to be going out.. Your going to be missing a lot of fun and experiences like waves and echos going through your body)

No way you are serious ? Thats a 1,200 dollar CPU, that price is the best on the market I have seen to date for sure.

As Wolf already knows LA Micro is a legit company that has a walk in store as well the ebay one. I also spoke with them to make sure the info listed within the add was correct and it is. They also have the 16 core 6276 for 550.00.

As for clock speeds they are sever CPUs and are built for stability... But in the terms of PPD this setup should beat 10 580s running 24/7 with ease.
